Ich danke euch sehr für die Offenheit und Hilfe. Leider konnte ich manche links nicht öffnen, aber der Wille zählt. Und, da ich mich im Endeffekt zwischen zweien von euch entscheiden müsste – dies aber nicht kann, weil ihr euch gleich viel Mühe gemacht habt – sehe ich mich außerstande die Entscheidung selbst zu treffen und gebe die Bewertung jetzt frei.

SUDDEN DEATH OF REV. J. T. FARLEY
HAD COME HOME FROM NEODESHA CHARGE AND WAS STRICKEN
Stoppage of the Bowels was the Cause of His Death—Had Lived Here Two Years
The many friends and acquaintances of Rev. J. T. Farley were shocked this morning to learn that he was dead. He passed away at 4:05 o’clock this morning at his home, 617 North Eighth street.
Mr. Farley had been sick only three days. He returned home Friday morning from Neodesha, where he is the Baptist pastor, and was suddenly taken down with a severe illness from which he never rallied. Drs. Shelton and Wickersham were called and pronounced his ailment stoppage of the bowels. Everything possible was done to relieve him, but without avail and he lingered in terrible suffering until this morning, when that long rest which knows no awaking came mercifully to end his agony, and he was no more for he had been called up yonder into the mysterious realm whence no traveler returns.
The deceased was born in Johnson county, Neb., sixty-three years ago. Most of his life was spent in that state. He was first married to Mary Ann Barnhart in Cole county, Mo. Seven children were born to them, all of whom but one is still living. They are Mrs. Prudent Yost of Kansas City; Prof. A. P. Farley, government meat inspector at San Francisco; Mrs. Anna Canteron of Clarksburg, Mo.; Mrs. Mary Patterson of Kansas; Miss Lena Larley, and Thos. Farley, deceased.
In 1881, Mr. Farley was married a second time to Miss Alice Andsley of Missouri. Three children were born to this union, Jewel, Pearl and Arthur, all of this city. The former was married about a year ago to a niece of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. McBride. Six brothers survive, F. M., B. L., D. W., J. H. and A. J. Farley of Missouri, and J. N. of Custer City, O. T. J. H. Farley of Pettus county, Mo., arrived here this forenoon to attend the service.
Mr. Farley entered the Baptist ministry as a young man and was actively in the Christian warfare up to the close of his life. He came here two years ago and for some time had been the regular pastor at Neodesha and Grenola, going to and fro to his duties from this city. He had been attending his pastorate at Neodesha when the fatal attack first came on. He was a consistent and energetic Christian worker and did a great amount of good in his long service. He was kind and thoughtful and naturally had a great many friends. He was especially friendly with the newspaper men of the city and was held in high esteem by all of them. He was a frequent contributor. The funeral will take place from the family residence Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. All friends are invited.

This project is about the absolute mutation of our metropolis, reversing the process of evolution and turning things inside out. The end result is the unfolding of fantastic new architecture, and it draws whomever into the depths of a gigantic, dark, strange and absurd morphed grimy variegated skeletal, organic living reptilian defined as “Organic Mutant Architecture”. or New York Modern in reverse.

William Cutler wrote the following about this gentleman:
J. J. BARNDOLLAR, merchant, was born in Everett, Bedford Co., Pa., May 5, 1842. In 1868 he removed to Lanark, Ill., where he resided until the spring of 1870, then came to Kansas, locating at Humboldt; in the summer of 1871 he settled at Coffeyville where he has since carried on a wholesale and retail business, dealing in general merchandise. His brother, George I. Barndollar, has been associated with him in the business for the last six years. Mr. B. is a member of the A., F. & A. M. He enlisted in August, 1862, in Company C, One Hundred and Thirty-third Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry; served nine months being First Sergeant of his company.

His father was the late J. J. Barndollar, who built up by energetic business methods a large estate consisting of mercantile, manufacturing, mining, banking and other business properties, and was one of the leading men of his time in Southern Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. J. J. Barndollar was born at Everett, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, in 1842, and came west when a young man. He arrived at Humboldt, Kansas, in 1869, and in 1871 went into Osage country of Indian Territory around Pawhuska. He afterwards lived at Parker, Kansas, and at Coffeyville from the establishment of that town. He was a merchant and Indian trader, and for a number of years was connected with some of the principal trading stores in the northern part of old Indian Territory. He was a member of the firm of Barndollar, Bartles & Gibson at Pawhuska; of Barndollar, Bartles & Neilson at Claremore; and of J. J. Barndollar & Company at Nowata, Oklahoma. He was also president of the Coffeyville Furniture Company, president of the A. P. Boswell Hardware Company, and director in the Condon National Bank. He died October 23, 1904, in New Mexico, while traveling for his health in that state and in Texas.
The late J. J. Barndollar was a republican in politics, and was affiliated with Keystone Lodge No. 102, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons at Coffeyville, with Topeka Consistory of the thirty-second degree Scottish Rite and with Abdallah Temple of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine at Leavenworth. He was a soldier throughout the Civil war, serving as a lieutenant in a company of Pennsylvania Infantry.
J. J. Barndollar married Nonie Pratt, who is now living at Coffeyville and is executrix of the large estate left by her late husband. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, and is a quarter-blood Delaware Indian. She has a close relationship with some of the most prominent members of that tribe. Her grandfather Maj. J. G. Pratt was Indian agent at Piper, Wyandotte County, Kansas, for the Delaware Indians and of the Wyandotte tribes. She is also a granddaughter of Rev. Charles Journeycake, the famous chief of the Delawares. She received her education in Leavenworth and Shepardson College of Granville, Ohio. Mrs. J. J. Barndollar’s mother is now Mrs. N. M. Bartles of Dewey, Oklahoma. Bartlesville, Oklahoma, was named for Mr. Bartles, and all these families, the Journeycakes, Bartles and Pratts were very prominent in both early and late history of Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. Mrs. Barndollar is now Mrs. A. H. Gibson, and lives at the old homestead at Coffeyville, and has a large estate to look after, including city property, oil lands, and farms. She is a daughter of the American Revolution.
